Scholarship funds are awarded each year to new students who intend to enroll at Webster University for fall and spring semesters/terms.
Webster Universitys general policy is to limit each new student to only one scholarship to ensure that scholarship funds can be maximized and benefit a larger number of students. All new students will be awarded the maximum scholarship they qualify for at the time they are accepted to the University.
The following are scholarship application guidelines:
Scholarship awards to new students currently range from $1,000 to full tuition and are generally renewable at the same level if the required academic progress conditions are met. Awards apply only to fall and spring semester tuition charges at Webster.
Applicants who are accepted or submit required credentials after the scholarship application deadline are considered only if funds remain. Scholarship decisions are based on the Universitys evaluation of an applicants previous academic background.
Scholarship funds donated to Webster University for specific needs and purposes are awarded to eligible students by the Universitys Scholarship Committee. These funds carry special eligibility requirements and conditions. Scholarship criteria are subject to change. Institutional scholarships apply to tuition costs only. Tuition assistance such as vocational rehabilitation or tuition remission may affect a students eligibility for institutional scholarship awards.
Unless otherwise indicated, all scholarships are based on full-time, flat-fee (13 to 18 credit hours) enrollment for consecutive terms until required credit hours for graduation (128) are completed.
All grade point averages (G.P.A.s) are cumulative and are calculated on all previous academic work. For transfers, previous academic work includes all attempted credits at accredited institutions from which Webster accepts transfer credit.
To be considered for Webster University scholarship funds, the following items must be submitted:
Some scholarships require a separate application form and are so noted in their description.
Scholarship applicants should also consider applying for any need-based funds by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Webster University institutional financial aid form. To meet all federal and state deadlines, it is recommended these forms be submitted by March 1. The FAFSA is available at the Webster University Financial Aid Office, your high school guidance office, or college financial aid office. The FAFSA may be submitted after January 1 to the federal processing center listed on the form. Be sure to include Websters college code (002521) on your application. Webster will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) with your information from the processing center. Students who have applied to the University and have been accepted for admission will then be reviewed for any aid for which they might be eligible. For further information or questions, please call the Financial Aid Office at 1-800-WU-FINAD or 314-968-6992.
