Alumni Legacy Scholarship

Webster University is pleased to announce The Alumni Legacy Scholarship, a $1,000 award being offered to the dependent sons and/or daughters of Webster University Alumni worldwide. This award applies to new, first-time freshmen who will be enrolled as full-time, degree-seeking students at the home campus in St. Louis, Missouri. The Legacy Scholarship is automatically renewable for a maximum of four years and can be stacked with all other Webster-funded scholarships, with the exception of the full-tuition Presidential award. Although a separate application is not required, applicants must provide the name of the qualifying parent in the space provided on the Application for Admission or on the Webster Common Application Supplement.

Webster Academic Scholarship

Awarded to first-time freshmen with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a 23 ACT score or 1600 SAT. Actual scholarship amount is based on comparative index. Accepted applicants for admission are automatically reviewed for Webster Academic Scholarship consideration and are notified within 10-14 days after receiving their admission decision.

A+ Scholarship - Webster University

Awarded to first-time freshmen who A) graduate from an A+ high school, as certified by the state of Missouri, B) have completed the requirements of the program, and C) are certified by their high school to receive the A+ Scholarship offered by the state of Missouri. The award level is based on the applicant's cumulative grade point average, class rank, and ACT or SAT scores. In addition to the A+ certification, a minimum ACT of 21 or SAT of 1500 is required. This is a Webster University award. The A+ award offered by the state of Missouri may only be used at Missouri public community colleges.

Boys' State

Awarded to incoming freshmen who have participated in Boys' State and have maintained a 3.0 G.P.A., rank in the top 33% of their high school class, and have an ACT of 22 or SAT of 1530 or higher.

Girls' State

William Randolph Hearst Scholarship for Disadvantaged Students

Students graduating from a high school with a significant underrepresented population are eligible to apply. In addition, applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 and demonstrate a high level of financial need, based on information contained in their Student Aid Report (FAFSA).

Leadership Scholarship

Awarded to freshmen with a minimum 3.3 G.P.A., ACT score of 24 or SAT of 1650. Applicants must document extracurricular activities and leadership involvement. Awards are renewable based on the following criteria (separate application required): 

  1. Participation in leadership workshop at the beginning of each year and enrollment in the Student Leadership Development Program to pursue a Leadership Certificate;
  2. Membership and involvement in at least one club (flexible with off-campus involvement in church or other community service);
  3. Involvement in planning at least one club event;
  4. Maintenance of a minimum of 3.0 cumulative G.P.A.; maximum award of eight consecutive semesters.

Midwest Student Exchange Program

The Midwest Student Exchange Program enables residents of Kansas, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wisconsin to enroll at Webster University at reduced tuition levels. Eligible MSEP students attending Webster University will receive a 10 percent reduction in their tuition.

Presidential Scholarship

Competitive scholarship awarded to incoming freshmen who have met at least two of the following criteria: a 3.75 cumulative G.P.A. (on a 4.0 scale), a minimum 27 ACT composite or 1800 combined SAT Reasoning Test, rank in the top 20% of their high school graduating class. Finalists will be interviewed on campus at Webster University. (Separate application required.)

Proud to Serve Scholarship

The Proud to Serve Scholarship (PTS) is open to qualified full-time first-time freshmen and new transfer students who will attend the Webster Groves campus and are dependents of active military or veterans who have been honorably discharged. Students qualifying for this scholarship will receive up to $3,000 annually. This scholarship is renewable each year upon successful completion of academic course work.

St. Louis Area High Schools Scholarship Program

For students who attend a high school located in the City of St. Louis, the Missouri counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, and Jefferson, and the Illinois counties of St. Clair, Madison, and Monroe. Eligibility is based on location of the high school, not the home address of the applicant.

Students must be academically accepted, carry at least a 3.6 cumulative Grade Point Average on a 4.0 scale, have an ACT composite score of 24 or above or an SAT combined score of 1650 or above, and rank in the top 20% of his or her graduating class.

The applicant must also submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, or principal that speaks to the candidate's seriousness of purpose, likely contribution to campus life, and character.
