Webster University has been teaching in the People's Republic of China since 1997.
Today, cooperating with Shanghai University of Economics and Finance (SUFE), the program has 240 M.B.A. candidates in two key commercial cities: Shanghai and Shen Zhen. During 2002, the Ministry of Education again approved Webster to operate the first, full M.B.A. program in Southwest China. Over 40 people are now enrolled in the Chengdu program, which is a joint venture with the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). Today there are over 500 M.B.A. graduates in China who earned M.B.A. degrees at the Webster/SUFE Joint M.B.A. Program.

Shanghai
The Webster China M.B.A. Program started in 1997 at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE). Students in the program follow the traditional nine-week Webster graduate schedule. The second program is at Chengdu at the University of Science and Technology (UESTC). The M.B.A. at Chengdu is a full M.B.A., and known as the IMBA, or International M.B.A. There is third program at Shen Zhen operated with SUFE. At all three China locations students come from IBM, GM, Johnson and Johnson, Siemens, S.C. Johnson, and others. Also, students who want personal career growth select the full M.B.A. and not just an EMBA in Shanghai, or an EMBA in Chengdu.
Nearly all M.B.A. study is in English, including cases, investigations, lectures, and team efforts. We teach the four prerequisite courses in a mix of English and Chinese to help students evolve into English practice.
The Joint SUFE/Webster M.B.A. Program was the first in China to be fully accredited by the Ministry of Education. Over the years, the Joint Program has been recognized by both the national government and Shanghai government for excellence in business education. Webster/UESTC in Chengdu is also fully accredited by the Ministry of Education and U.S. accreditation.

Chengdu Program Welcomes Visiting MBA Students from All Over The World
The newest addition to Webster China is the partnership with the University of Electronic Science and Technology China (UESTC). Located in the heart of China's booming West, UESTC and Webster offer an M.B.A. program that focuses on product development.
Webster instructors will teach all of the 12 MBA courses at UESTC. UESTC will handle the prerequisites, so it's an ideal location for any Webster MBA candidate who wants the experience of 9-10 weeks in China, and the M.B.A. credits that go with it.
