Webster University's nurse anesthesia program fosters expertise in the art and science of anesthesia and is fundamental to preparing you for practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).

The program provides the professional nurse anesthetist with the skills necessary for assessing, planning, implementing, directing, and evaluating the care process. Residents receive grounding in nurse anesthesia's long tradition of procedures directed toward disease prevention, health maintenance, restoration, and rehabilitation. In addition, the program stresses the profession's strong moral, ethical, and legal codes.

Clinical experience is an essential component of the program, fulfilled through our partnerships with 13 private-practice and university-based clinical facilities. By the time they graduate, residents typically have obtained real-world clinical experiences at 8-10 of these institutions in a broad range of general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care to adults and children.
