Alumni Scholarships Make a Difference for Future Generations
In 2001, Anthony “Tony” Thompson, MBA ’88, established the Anthony and Kim Thompson Endowed Scholarship for Webster University graduate students. Robin Young, the 2005-06 recipient of the scholarship, visited Webster recently and had the chance to meet Thompson, who was on campus to present a $10,000 check from the Kwame Foundation for the Webster University scholarship.
During the visit, Young and Thompson discovered that they both used their classroom experiences to prepare and refine their personal business plans. Thompson formed the Kwame Building Group, Inc., and Young developed R.A. Young & Associates. Young said that because scholarships made her education possible, she hopes to establish a scholarship someday. Alumni can make a difference in future generations by establishing or supporting scholarships.
