Where will you be next year? Recipients of Webster University’s George Herbert Walker III Scholarship will spend it in Vienna, Geneva, Bangkok, Leiden and Chengdu, advancing their international education with the 2010-11 Webster Global MBA Program at a 50% savings. The George Herbert Walker III Scholarship will provide for half the fees for the Global MBA course, a truly international degree which immerses its students as they study at Webster campuses in five international cities over an 11-month period of time.

Like the man it honors, the George Herbert Walker III Scholarship recognizes those with a passion for global business. "Ambassador Walker is a longtime friend of Webster and a committed soul to the value of global education," says Benjamin Akande, dean of Webster University's School of Business & Technology. "He has proven himself a champion of global education and we are pleased to honor him by selecting a Global MBA program student to receive a scholarship recognizing his contribution."

"The thing that makes me most excited about Webster is its tremendous and very exciting international outreach," says Ambassador Walker. The George Herbert Walker III Scholarship helps students achieve global experience by making it easier for them to take advantage of Webster’s international campuses and the success of its Global MBA program.

All students admitted to the Webster Global MBA program are eligible for the award. Those receiving the scholarship will be judged by a scholarship committee based on their academic achievement, GMAT scores, international experience and demonstrable leadership ability.

To apply for the George Herbert Walker III Scholarship, students must submit a completed Webster University application for admission into the Global MBA Program postmarked no later than January 31, 2010. That application must include the online application, essay, official transcript, GMAT test scores and current resume.

Students are also asked to submit a letter of application for the scholarship to the Director of the Global MBA program expressing how you exemplify the passion for global business that the Global MBA program supports and how you intend to apply your experience in the Global MBA Program upon graduation.
