Webster University’s Global MBA program is a full-time, accelerated MBA program, with one entry point each year in August. Global MBA students live, learn, and study as a cohort at distinct Webster campuses, in a structured route to five international business centers: Geneva, Switzerland; Leiden, The Netherlands; Chengdu, China; Bangkok, Thailand and Vienna, Austria. The program begins with an orientation at Webster’s home campus in St. Louis, Missouri USA, in August 2010 and finishes with graduation in July 2011. Space in the Global MBA program is limited, with admissions granted to the most qualified applicants.

Admission information
The Global MBA Program at Webster is committed to providing students a world-class global business education. As such, Program admission is based on an assessment of your academic and professional achievements and your passion to experience global business where it happens. To be considered for the program, all applicants must submit:
- A completed Graduate Application for Admission. You can apply online for the Global MBA Program. (*International applicants: Please refer to the FAQs for a complete list of admissions requirements.)
- A $50 nonrefundable application fee
- An official transcript showing conferral of a bachelor’s degree. Interested students who expect to earn their bachelor’s degree by July 2009 must submit an official transcript showing current academic progress. An additional official transcript must be submitted upon completion of the bachelor’s degree program.
- Official scores (within the last five years) of the GMAT. For your convenience, here are the codes for Webster University for the exam: GMAT: 4Z7-PN-02
- A current resume showing work and educational experience
- A personal statement (500-1000 words) discussing why you believe the Global MBA Program is a good fit for you and what you plan to do with the experience upon completion of the program.
- Two letters of recommendation from an academic or professional colleague who can speak to your achievements and explain why you are a great candidate for the Global MBA Program.
- A copy of your current passport biography and bar code pages. (If you do not have a valid passport please begin the process of applying for one immediately. To obtain a passport you should allow a minimum of 4-6 weeks of processing time.)
MBA prerequisites are required for the student without an academic background in business. These courses must be completed or waived by examination before the student begins the program:
- BUSN 5000-Business
- BUSN 5600-Accounting Theory & Practice and
- BUSN 5620-Current Economic Analysis

Academic Information

Tuition and fees
Tuition for the 2010-11 Global MBA Program will be determined soon. Apply now to lock in 2009-10 rates! All applicants who apply by December 1, 2009 are eligible for last year’s program fees.
The program fee for the 2009-10 Global MBA program was $48,000, which included 36 hours of graduate tuition, housing during all five, nine-week academic terms, pre-departure materials, and all textbooks. Students were responsible for their own meals, housing between academic terms, personal living expenses, visas, and all airfare and costs associated with travel between Webster's campuses.
Financial Aid
The Global MBA Program is able to offer some scholarship assistance to students based on academic and professional merit. The George Herbert Walker III award recognizes one Global MBA student each year with an award of 50% of the program fees. Applications must be received by January 31, 2010, in order to be considered for the award. Other awards funds may also be available. Further details may be found here.
U.S. citizens who are full-time graduate students are eligible for up to $20,500 per year in federal loans. Graduate Plus loans are also available. Webster University can assist eligible students in identifying scholarships or other financial assistance that may be available. We highly encourage students to seek opportunities for outside sources of funding by creating a student profile on www.fastweb.com.
Housing
Students will live in a variety of on-campus and off-campus apartments, or student residences, at each Webster campus location. The level of accommodations will vary from campus to campus, but all housing will be located within walking distance or with access to public transportation routes, for travel to and from each campus. Accommodations will be arranged by Webster staff on-site at each campus. Note: Students will be responsible for arranging their own housing accommodations between academic terms.
Passports and visas
Students must hold a valid passport from their respective country of citizenship. If you currently hold a passport, please ensure that it will not expire while you are abroad. If you need to apply for a passport, visit your local U.S. Post Office or visit www.state.gov for detailed instructions. Students should allow 6-8 weeks for processing. Students must be able to obtain proper visas for all countries visited during the program.

International Student ID card
Webster University provides each student with a free personal International Student Identification Card (ISIC), which will serve as your worldwide student ID. The ISIC also allows you to book discounted student airfare; receive discounts around the world for museums, exhibits, etc.; and access a 24-hour toll-free help-line.
Health insurance
At no additional cost, Webster University provides basic accident and sickness insurance to program participants. The policy covers students throughout the world arranged through HTH Worldwide Health Services. Students should not cancel their existing policies in lieu of this coverage. Student safety
Webster University is committed to the safety and security of all its students. Student residences are all staffed with residential assistants. All students have 24-hour local contact information in case of an emergency. Additionally, all campuses remain in close contact with the local U.S. embassies for the latest local and international advisories. Webster also monitors U.S. State Department travel advisories on an ongoing basis.
